WHAT IS GEL?
Most gels are a related to the acrylic family, meaning they have acrylic in them. Unlike acrylics that need to be mixed before application, gels come pre-mixed in a slightly jellylike (gel) consistency. Gels are applied in thin layers and, when cured, result in a smooth, glossy finish.
There are two types of gel products: hard gel and soft gel. Hard gel, once cured, is tough enough to create a nail extension. Soft gel refers to the gel products that are too soft to create a nail extension - like gel polish.
